1. Before You Delete
Account deletion is permanent and irreversible. Before you proceed, make sure you have:
- No pending transactions. You cannot delete your account while any escrow transaction is open, in dispute, or awaiting delivery confirmation. Complete or cancel all active transactions first.
- No outstanding balance. Any funds held in escrow will need to be released or refunded before deletion is possible.
- Saved anything you need. Download or note any transaction references, receipts, or messages you may need after deletion โ you will not be able to access them once your account is removed.
2. How to Delete In-App
Account deletion is done entirely inside the Edmanly app. Follow these steps:
- Open the Edmanly app and sign in.
- Go to Settings.
- Tap Account Info.
- Tap Delete Account.
- Read the confirmation screen carefully, then tap Confirm Delete to proceed.
You will receive a final confirmation that your account has been scheduled for deletion. The process begins immediately.
If you are unable to complete deletion in the app, you can also request deletion by emailing privacy@edmanly.net from the email address linked to your account. We will process your request within 30 days.
3. What Gets Deleted
When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

| In-app messages and chat history | Deleted from active storage |
| Marketing preferences and push notification tokens | Deleted immediately |
| Device identifiers and session tokens | Invalidated immediately |
4. What Is Retained
Egyptian law (Anti-Money Laundering Law No. 80 of 2002 and its executive regulations) requires us to keep certain records even after your account is deleted. These records are stored in a restricted, access-controlled environment and are used only for regulatory compliance, legal proceedings, or dispute resolution โ not for any commercial purpose.

After the applicable retention period expires, all retained records are permanently deleted or irreversibly anonymized.
